I plan on meeting up with eimea on Monday and will bring my digital camera to get some shots of her new '02 top. I'll get them uploaded here as soon as I can.

That's why my '02 soft top with glass window is only going to
cost me ~$500 soft top, ~$80 year 00-02 helms manual, ~$100 for the '02 defroster switch and some wires. Less than $700 and I get to have a Helms manual...

My '02 soft top status: The package is now at the terminal (July 31), I should get it tomorrow or Monday. Can't wait to install it!!

Here are the long-awaited pictures of eimea's 2001 Spa Yellow S2000 with a 2002 top with a glass rear window.

1) Top fully raised:

2) Close-up with top fully raised:

3) Modified roof frame:

4) Modified roof frame (again):

5) Close-up of roof frame pivot points:

6) Top in the process of folding:

7) Close-up of window disappearing into the roof well:

I don't recall what the roof frame of a real 2002 looks like (pictures anyone?) but this is a different set-up. I recall seeing a clearly visible difference in the roof profile when I had my car parked next to RJ_S2K's 2002 with both tops up. It was difficult to see if eimea's car had a 2000/2001 or 2002 profile.

It is my understanding that the roof frame of eimea's car is the original frame that came with the car but was just modified with the use of elastic straps and a sleeve (what it looked like to me) to allow the top to fold differently. The added material mimics apparently mimics that portion of a 2002's top which is spring loaded.
