OneQuickS2K hey how did you get the switch and wiring for 78 bucks? i was told that the defroster switch on the dash was connected to the main wiring harness for the gauge cluster, a 300.00 piece, were they wrong? is there a wire that connects directly to the defroster? can you scan the page? i tried connecting that wire to the existing hardtop wiring harness, but the plugs are different.

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/
is where I get my parts. I did not get the whole wiring.
I got the sub-wiring for my '02 soft top defroster and
the switch only for around $70-$80. There is no wiring in between, I am just gonna run the wires myself.

But it might change the fold point to make it lower on the plastic window instead of the center.

I DID IT! '02 soft top in '00 frame.

After 2 days and about 10 hours of working on my car by myself. I got my '00 soft top off
and put on my $450 '02 soft top with glass window!! It fits perfectly. Now, I am going to wire
up the defroster and I'll do a write-up. I took only a few pics along the install...I'll post them once
I get a chance to. Maybe tomorrow.

no kidding.. perhaps you should make the elastic straps as a kit or something. Thanks for being brave... If honda won't step up to the plate it's always nice to see members with innovation. Oh and where did you get a 2002 softop for 450 bucks if you don't mind me asking?

shit, you beat me to it

cool, I was really contemplating making the switch but they quoted me at about $US 2.8k !!!

Can't wait for the pictures .............

BY the way, I was under the impression that the frame of the '00 does not do the job ... do you have to use the elastic straps?

Impressed
