Went to Anderson Honda in Palo Alto this morning to give a tech a ride to check out the clutch decel noises.
Spoke with Chris, and while he agreed that mine displayed the issue, they would do the work if I wanted it done but that there was nothing functionally wrong with the clutch and that the noise would still be there with the revised part but a little quieter perhaps.
Also discussed the paint peel problem and they said they'd fix it no problem, but that he hasn't seen it get any worse than it is (about half an inch on the back edge between the bumper cover and the hood, inside of both headlights).
Asked him about oil consumption also. Claimed that he hasnt yet seen a true oil consumption problem on these cars, and that most of it could be attributed to improper reading of the dipstick and that he has had to take oil out of many of the cars that claimed oil consumption problem. He did seem a bit surprised when I mentioned that I first checked and added oil when VTEC wouldnt engage.
He also asked where it is I get my information and I wrote the url on a business card for him to check out.

Is there a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on this? if so, has anyone posted it the way they posted TSB 55 for the 1-2 gear crunch?
Reason is, I have the noise, and I want to get it fixed at the same time as I get the 1-2 gear crunch fixed. I'll be one of the first in Canada to get this done; the Canadian TSB has just recently gone to the dealers, and my parts are on order.
Thanks,
Howard
