The results are in... DC header dyno
The results are interesting... to say the least.
Weather was about high 80's low 90's today. Same dyno place as before and again I dyno'd around the same time as before.
Let me post the scans:
three runs with DC headers:
Now here's the interesting part, it's my peak run today compared to my peak run just 3 weeks ago:
"What's so interesting?" you say, "They look exactly the same!". Yes *that* is what's so interesting. I made no power, nada, zero, nothing, no where...
But notice about 800rpms before and after VTEC, there's an interesting jump in power and torque, it's not more than 5 lb-ft at any given point.
Now before anyone goes and say "see, I knew they can't make a better header for cheaper", I'd like for another person to do some dynos. There is something strange that I can't figure out. Notice how the AF ratio on the run with header is more lean? Well from the last dyno, my peak run was the most lean of the 3 runs taken that day. Looking today, I would have thought that since I am running yet more lean, should have made something somewhere.
I guess DC can claim that their header makes mid range torque...
Comments are definately welcome.
thanks!

Well, the entire dyno run is in WOT... if one where at about 13:1, you'd make about 5hp more across the entire power band.

Shing,
I think what you're find is that your car leaned out after they let it sit and cool down for the last dyno. Carboy did the same thing for me when I was there. That just seems to be the way they like to dyno, a few warm runs, then one cool run.

Maybe I am missing something, so please don't hesitate to correct me.
I asked Comptech when they would be releasing a header for the S2000 and they said that they are having trouble getting anymore power out of the engine. They sent me an email saying that they have only been able to get about 1hp out of the new header.
Is this something that is to be expected? I know that there have been reports that the spoon header makes some power. Does anyone have a dyno of that?
