Restoration of my Silverstone S2000
Hello All,
I don't post much here, but I wanted to share the progress I made restoring the paint on my S2000. Its a Silverstone metallic and the previous owner may have used a can of spray paint (the rattle can kind) to paint the car. That rattle can paint job didn't last and started to flake off, thus I decided that it was time to take care of this issue with my S.
The body shop is owned by a cousin of mine and I was able to do some of the work when it came to disassembly, but I left the painting and bodywork to the pros.
Here are some pics of where it began to where it is today. We put on new oem head lights and tail lights since the originals were cracked. I haven't installed the badges yet, nor have I applied PPF. Those are my next steps, and I'm aware of the need to wait for the fumes to dissipate
from the paint prior to applying ppf.

Beautiful! Hopefully the mechanicals are up to the same standard.

As for the internals, back in Jan I blew a head gasket, so I hired Shad over at DrivingAmbition aka Comptech to rebuild my head. It was machined and we put in new springs, valves, retainers, seals and ARP head bolts.
He did a great job and the car sounds really nice when I accelerate.
Also, over the years, I replaced the majority of rubber bushings, motor, trans and diff mounts. I also replaced the coilovers with HKS Hipermax S.
As a side note, I'm looking for a stock or CARB legal CAT. If anyone knows where I can source one for without paying an arm and leg, I'd really appreciate it.

Bro, that looks fire. I'd give my little toe for my S's paint to look like that. Mechanical stuff is easy to fix, but a repaint is way above my pay grade. When I eventually repaint my car, I'll definitely go for a different Honda black instead of Berlina.

Thank you sir!
Thanks! Its probably not the best financial investment I've ever made in my life, but I just wanted my S2000 to look good finally. The PO's paint job was far from good haha.
