Default Restoration

Will not driving the S2000 for 6-8months damage the car? what kind of restoration in general am I looking at? can a dealership do a restoration?

Sure, your local dealership can give you more information depending on your specific case. If you live in western NY, your local dealer prolly sees this a lot.

Lots of variables here...depending on whether the car was stored inside or outside, on blocks or not...prolly a better question for the advisor at your local dealership.

In general, if the car was stored with its wheels on it, there may be some build up of residue on the rotors, which can often be burnt off with brake use...although you may here some unusual sounds when hitting the brakes.

If the wheels were kept on it, the tires are likely flatspotted. You can recognize this by a thumping sound when you drive.

All the fluids will also need to be changed. I'd recommend that it's first trip be one to get it serviced.

I'd recommend just calling your dealership up and telling them that your car has not been driven for 6-8 months and you want to make an appointment to get an oil change and otherwise make it driveable again.
