Req Maintenance Light blinks before I fire her up?

Obviousaly its pretty self explanatory but i never had this light before. The car is around 32-33k. Im just about to get a oil change.... is this normal?

Its normal.
Page 49 of the owner's manual:
"To rest the light, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, the press and hold the trip meter reset button while you turn the ignition switch ON. Contiune holding the button until the indicator resets (the indicator light goes out)."

There's no reason for your car to be acting funny. The maintenance required light is merely a reminder to get some routine service done. It comes on at a certain mileage just to remind you.
