Default Replacing the windshield molding

I have some cuts on the windshield molding and would like to replace it. Can that be done without removing the glass? It says in the honda manual to bond the molding to the glass before installing, so I'm not sure if I can get away with just prying the old one off and putting the new one on.

no, you NEED to remove the whole windshield, since the molding is also glued to the windowframe.
