Replacing high beam bulb and low beam HID in MY06
So i bought a H1 bulb for my 2006. When i took out the stock H1 bulb hit had a X clip looking thing on it do i need to take that off and put it on the new H1 bulb? Also whats the easiest way to get into the HID bulb? Through the wheel well? Do i need to take off the ballast that sits right behind the bulb? I think it has a bunch of warning labels on it. Thanks!

Pull the stock H1 bulb out of the plastic holder thing and replace with your new bulb.
As for the HID, you'll need to go through the wheel well. Why are you replacing the stock HID's? Aftermarket ones won't be any brighter (remember, blue does not equal bright) since stock is 4300k which is the closest match to sunlight. The higher number bulbs will appear more blue/purple, but will actually have less light output.

Thanks! I bought 6500k's yea i know about the output but somone offered me $150 for my stock 4300k bulbs so i jumped on it and made some money in the process. Ill live with a slight decrease in light output. Thanks again!!
