Default Replacing Filter Element???

I have read from a few posts that by replacing the stock air filter with JR's Filter can add about 2 hp. Where can I buy this filter online or retail. Also what are your experiences with this. It seems strange that this filter can add a claimed 2-3hp while some CAI dont or even loose hp???? Thanks

Is that true? Sounds like a smart idea to replace the stock one with...

I would keep the the stock filter. You give up filtration for a couple hps, not worth the longevity of your engine. I examined the JR filter again today and seen a bunch of dirt on it and if you hold it up to the ligh, you can see right through it. There were little holes that dirt can definately get through. Needless to say I went back to the stock one.

I ran the JR for quite a while before I went to the AEM CAI. Now "Former" has my JR.
2-3 HP is nearly impossible to register on any dyno. It is within the machine's margin of error. However, that having been said, my car ran really well with the JR and certainly it did not run worse. It "seemed" to have a bit better throttle response but the butt dyno told me nothing. The main advantage I saw was that it could be re-used.
The problem with some cold air intakes is that they turn out to NOT be real "cold air intakes". The same goes for these. It is nearly impossible to dyno the gains of a cold air intake UNLESS it was also a "performance" enhancing intake.
