Default Repairing paint "dings" on the front bumber?

Hi all. We are brand new to this group. What a find!
We have a Spa Yellow 2002 model. Despite babying it and keeping it covered, after 6 months we got our first tiny chip of paint out of the front bumper. I know I can go get some paint from Honda and cover the little black spot but my luck in doing that in the past hasn't been too good. It ended up looking like someone who didn't know what they were doing put a blob of paint on it. Anyone have any guidance on how to approach this? Thanks

The easiest way would be get a can of reducer at your auto body supply shop and some touchup paint. 2 to 1 ratio into a hypodermic needle and fill the chip.

Can't really stop all chips, they happen unless you hide your car in the garage.

Go to www.stongard.com and look at the alternative to nuisance chips. I am having this installed in appx. 2 weeks.

Thanks Lucid. On the 2 to 1 ratio of reducer and paint - which is 2 and which is 1?

Bruce,. Thanks. I'd never heard about Stongard. Have you seen it installed on other cars? I'd be interested in hearing how it went when you're done. Sounds like a possibility.

Very Yellow;
It's ROCKET SCIENCE. Look for the treads on this topic. You can PM Scooby2 and WRS2K in the Pacific NW Region and ask for comment. Scooby2 loves the product. I have seeen it installed and it's nearly undetectable. It's a 3M rocket science clear vinyl adhesive that is PROFESSIONALLY applied at an authorized Stongard dealer. The originator of the product is in the Seattle area, it has dealers nationwide. The product has a written guarantee against anything penetrating the vinyl.

My 02 S was heavily damaged by flying asphalt debris left by the trained professionals repaving Interstate 90 in early August. My brand new S received over $4,500.00 in cosmetic damage. I pick up my restored S this Tuesday. I must wait 30 days for the paint to cure (appx. 10 Oct) and will make an appt. for the installation, including headlamp protection. Both of my headlamps are being replaced at a materials cost of $549.00 each!!!! The headlamp 3M protection is $69.00 installed!!!!
