Default Repaint the soft top strikers?

The paint on my soft top strikers is now gone -- there's a bunch of chrome areas of the bare metal underneath. Can I just unbolt them, strip the old paint, and repaint them?

You can, but it'll be better if you buy new ones to replace it, cause over time the paint will chip again. I tried doing that to where the strikers connect and after 10-20 times of snapping the soft top back on the paint was chipping again where the metal contacts.
