Renew warranty before trade-in or not?

Renew warranty before trade-in or not?
I got a notice that my warranty will expire in late April and I can renew it for around $600.
I had some hail damage recently and had to get it fixed, only to find that I'm not overly happy with the new paint. Its not that bad, but its bad enough where I want a s2k with factory paint again. So I'm thinking about trading it in.
My question is this- Does having the warranty improve your tradein value in any way?

just trade it in,.. they will not give you any extra $ if you have extended warranty..
you might get a little bit less for the trade in though,... the best your going to get as a trade in for your S i have noticed so far is 26k if you have low mileage and about 28-29k range if you have a hard top also..
dont forget the dealer INVOICE is only 29.8k for the car...

Byron, I wouldn't spend any more money on it if you are going to trade it in. What color are you looking to buy, another red one?
Do you know what model of Talkabout Eric has?
See you,
Bob

I do have low mileage though- 8200 miles on a 2000 S2000. Unfortunately, I feel that the paint job is going to affect my trade in price.
