Removing wheel locks without key

I have been told that the Honda locks can be removed with a vice grips or by hammering the proper sized socket on to the lock.. I have not witnessed either.
The European locks look like they would really require a key.. or at least a different technique.

Probably the easiest and safest way is as cdelena mentioned, hammer an impact socket that is slightly smaller in diameter than the lock onto the lock. It will help if you first torque the other lugs an additional 5 ft.lbs. each, then try to loosen the lock. If this doesn't work, loosen the other lugs then try again.

Do you have the Honda wheel locks? If so, just take it to any Honda dealership - they have master keys for those locks. I lost my key quite a while ago so I just took my car and the four regular nuts to the dealership, they took the lock nuts off for me, put the regular ones on, and off I went. I still haven't bothered with getting replacements, though. Oops.

The dealer can get them off. I lost the key to my wifes CRV tires. I went down to the dealer and they have a master.
If you put a new set of locks on, don't forget to register them so that if it happens again you can get a replacement key and not have to go to the dealer.
