Default removing cruise control

im getting an aftermarket steering wheel that doesnt come with cruise control buttons on it, lol. i have never used it since i got my car and plan on never using it. i was wondering what kind of hardware is under the hood that i could remove to reduce clutter or weight or whatever. just dont want it. id like that space where those buttons are on my dash for something else as well so i might as well remove the whole system.

You wont save much weight by removing it. The cruise control box is not very big or heavy.
