Well if the soft top with motor etc. weighs 45 pounds then you aren't really losing weight. The HT weighs 45 so its an equal trade.

if you guys don't like convertibles, why did you buy an S2000? Makes no sense lol

And I would think it would be better to leave the soft top in. If your'e ever out and have a surprise rain you can put the top up, etc.

Some people like the performance aspect of the s2000 like cornering, braking, balance, handling, etc. For part 2 of your question, with a hardtop why would you need to put the softtop up for rain?

i personally love driving top down so I will never purchase a hardtop.

i removed my softtop for the following reasons:

1. cost, sold the softtop to recoup the cost of the ht
2. weight
3. looks, don't like it folded down
4. sound, my bass sounds like crap when the top is down and now it flows in a lot better and sound is amazing!

out of all the above reasons, #1 was the most important

i wish i could sell my soft top and get money but i got the pos plastic window and no one wants that

anyways, got the top from e-heezy today and he helped me install it...only thing i gotta get is the defrost harness...i gotta get the back tinted and either get the veilside or bys wing...still undecided..

Actually the reason I bought my S was to put a Hardtop on it. Love the way it looks with the hardtop. But I still have not purchased one. But yeah there definetely is a lot more to the S2000 than it being a convertible.
