Removable Subwoofer to optimize trunk space as needed (PIX)
i have created a removable sub so that you can utilize the trunk space when needed. it's the old kenwood sub (60watts, 8 inch) and for its size, it pumps out good bass without distortion. i used to have this tube in my old Prelude and it seemed week and feeble, but in s2000's trunk, it sounds pretty good. i love the fact that i could take it off easily...
i don't know if this step is necessary, but just in case, i didn't want the wires touching each other or other metalic parts of the car.
it's a velcro bottom and it stays put through my rough driving. no rattles.
simply hide away the loose ends...
yes, i cannot give my precious trunk space away this way, i don't lose anything, but gain everything.

It ain't pretty, but it's functional. I have an removable post adapter for easy connect/disconnect of the wires.
Even with the box in the trunk, I can still fit $150 worth of groceries back there. The bulk paper towels ride shotgun tho
