This looks very cool. Any idea of what this will do to the tires? I have 8,500 on my tires currently. I've never been on a track. Am I looking at having to get new tires after this sort of track activity?

I'm at about 8300 miles myself, with plenty of tread left. I've done one track day and one autocross. But I have heard of others with no tread left at much lower mileage.

A track day will definitely use up some tires, how much depends on (a) how many laps we get to do, and (b) how hard you're pushing it.

Bottom line: if you've got a reasonable amount of tread left, I don't think you're gonna use it all up on Saturday. If you're starting to show the wear bars, I'd get new tires before Saturday.
