Wiring wouldn't be too bad, but it would most likely need a cover to prevent accidentally pressing of the button like minhdinh85 is concerned about.

I would like to put an in line switch ( hidden ) that you have to flick before you can hit the start button. Anyone done this? how much of a hassel is it to do?

McLaren SLR.... Mercedes wishes they could build a car as good as the SLR. Those are just "Benz" badges.

I don't personally like this one but here's an option.

:rolf: That looks more like a missle launch button than a start button. Something about it would want to make me say "Eagle one, fox three!" every time I press it

Someone in the electronics forum did this. They did it with a kill-switch for some interior lighting. I THINK it was MacGyver. Anyhow, the lights (LED accent lights in the footwells) were programmed to come on when the door opened, but with the switch in a certain position, they would be on all the time (similar to the overhead light....can be on all the time, off all the time, or on when doors are open). But he wired it so the switch had to be in a certain position for the ignition to fire. Sort of like a master kill-switch.

I think he might have a diagram for it.

Post a thread in the electronics forum, and whoever did this (whether it be MacGyver or not) should respond.

lmao.. hahaha!! exactly my thoughts!

Thing seems huge... if it were a little smaller I might just consider installing some missles with it

pretty cool though

Lol that missile launch button would be awesome.

If I'm sitting in traffic with someones in the passenger seat, I would say "Watch this." Flip and press button and watch their reaction. Then laugh when nothing happens.

Or rig that button with an ejector seat.

Sorry was watching Bond.
