Default Redline/Cutoff??? Where is it???

I have read a few threads that says the redline is 8900, then Honda says redline at 9000, then I hear that its actually 9200 rpm (the third blink when u hit redline). So what is the highest you can actually rev while accelerating??? 8900? 9000? 9200? other??? Thanks for clearing up the confusion.

Get on the freeway in second gear and accellerate until the rev limiter cuts in.....I think this is the best way to find out!

can't really tell that way, because you wont see the bars rise any more when the tach starts to blink. Anybody know when the ecu cuts off the fuel???

Hope this helps you answer your question.

I don't think Honda is misleading with the 9k redline I'm sure the motor is capable of it, I just think they setup the cutoff a little short to prevent blowing. Even the speedo is a few MPH off.
