You're not rev-matching properly. Gas more when you rev-match (sounds like you're not raising engine speed enough to match your wheel speed) and time it properly. Boosted or not...it's not going to make a difference for shifting, you gotta be smooth regardless.

Yes, I have a boosted s2k and I have no problem downshifting on the highway from 5th to 4th, catching vtaakk, etc. There should be no upset in the car whatsoever. No change in car setup is going to fix a problem that is induced by the driver.

Jun,

Here is a video of Heel-Toe downshifting.

Rev matching is one step easier. You do it without the braking and without the "moving target" of speed matching.

Look at his feet and ignore the brake pedal... bingo. Rev matching.

Does anyone have the link to the Best Motoring where they have the professional driver lap with the J's Racing S2000? The YouTube vid is removed.

Then they have the amateurs (who qualified through a contest) drive the car and that one guy spins out once and almost spins out a second time... it was because he tried heel-toeing, but didn't match the rpms properly... dragged the rear a little and put him into an oversteer spin.

We know the car is set up "properly" but it was the lack of smoothness that led to the spin. We could ask what Amuse could do to make the car more novice friendly, but that kind of defeats the purpose... don't you think?

Well if your just downshifting to hit vtec then why dont you either:

A: Lower your vtec engagement point.
or
B:Order the vtec killer cams?

wait, what is the problem here, gettign the rear end lose because it sdragging or because you have to much power on the rear wheel?!

if its first...learn how to rev match

if its second:

-adding camber will make this worse.

-get 18 inchers with large tyres which increas the momentum needed to break the tyres lose in the first moment

-lower the car another half an inch in the rear
