You should doubt it. He doesn't rev match.

Learning how to drive a manual properly (rev matching) to prevent abrupt jerking and loss of traction should be mandatory before stripping and boosting a car.
That's like buying "blades" (golf clubs) and asking how to hit a high fade.
Just because you know how to swing a club doesnt mean you know what every new club on the market does! There are alot of variables!!!

there is nothing wrong with asking the pro shop "which" golf club is adequate in hitting a high fade! Which is essentially what Im doing!!! Im talking about EQUIPMENT in relation to its effects on the car!!!

The point is that you don't know how to swing a club. And you don't know the fundamentals of going fast. You should work on technique before worrying about equipment. You've skipped over that part by stripping and boosting.
You now have a piece of equipment that will be harder to learn on. Just like blades.
Oh, and by the way... if you ask the pro shop "which golf club is adequate in hitting a high fade?" They'll say, a good golfer could hit a high fade with a putter.

I've met Steve [pedalfaster] in real life, and "condescending prick" is about 180 degrees from what anyone would call him. Furthermore, he's provided a ton of great competition information to this forum. So you've done pretty much exactly opposite what you should have done if you wanted any respect here.

[QUOTE=CKit,Nov 22 2008, 10:46 PM] The first thing that the "pro" will tell you is get some cavity-backed irons before you try using blades.
The point is that you don't know how to swing a club.

you have to boost the car before you learn to drive it!!!!! AM I not correct???????
Getting used to a car and not understanding / using basic racing techniques is a completely separate thing.
Some of the fastest racers in the world started with underpowered "momentum" cars. They had to eek every last bit of smoothness and grip to be fast... not compensate with more horsepower.

, maybe I should have learned how to wakeboard before I bought a boat!!!! good call!!
Downshifting at high rpms without rev-matching on the highway in a lightened, high hp S2000 with perceptible instability...
Strikes me like the car version of a new motorcycle driver who buys a sportbike....
