Rear plastic window material

I was thinking to sew the window on and using a combination of some type of nail glue, and silicone around the edges. Havent' really put THAT much thought in getting it to stay since I'm having a hard time just finding an applicable material.

Places that do auto tops and/or auto upholstery shops will have the material and possibly even be able to sew, glue, or tape something together temporarily. If your going to replace the top soon and not do it yourself ... check with the place you want to have your top done at.

found a small tear on my plastic as well, planning to use something like this.

I actually found the material i was looking for. I found it at an upholstery shop. I got a yard for like 5 bucks. To replace the plastic was harder then i thought. Its a messy job with the glue and all. I'm using and heavy duty glue and tape to hold the window in place... hopefully that will hold...
its not the cleanest job, but definitely 10x better then having a broken window with tape patching it across.
I'll get some pics up after i finish.

well i dont know for sure if the adhesive i used will do the job or not...
once it passes the test of me putting the top down i'll let you guys know.

I washed my car a few days ago and it didnt show any signs of leakage... I also put the top down, and suprisingly everything is still fine..
however, i dont think the adhesive is doing much. Its not bonding the window to the top. It looks like the tape I used is doing most of the work.
Here are some quick pics i took before it got TOO dark out...
As you can see, its not the best looking repair, but its definitely 10x's better then having tape across your whole window.
again, this is only a temporary fix until the funds are right and when i'm brave enough to install a new top.
The adhesive I used was "liquid nails adhesive/sealant, CLEAR"..
