Rear kept going

Rear kept going
Today I went around a 90 degree turn doing like 50- 55 ( maybe a little to fast). I wanted to see if the car could handle it. As I was exiting the turn, the rear of the car kept going. I thought the car was going to go off the road. It was a little nerve racking but I quickly got the car back under control. Is there anything I can do to help prevent that besides going slower around corners? Thanks

If the tires are O.K., you might want to check what air pressure you are running, and that they are the soft rubber.
I remember driving the Dragon at the meet in Knoxville and kept sliding due to the hard rubber tires on the Rear.

Dunlop 9000's are great tires, but are not as sticky as the S02's. i suppose thats why they last so much longer. I'd say you just need to find the limit of these tires and then drive within them. Sounds like you made a smooth turn with no change in throttle or anything so the tires are just not holding. Bummer cause I really like the SP9000's on my other car and was thinking about using them next on the S2000 as my commute tires. Oh well...

A rear spoiler can provide additional downforce to the rear tires, but I'm not sure if it would help at 50 - 55 mph range. Greg Stevens bought the Mugen 3 piece spoiler and he says he can feel the difference on the track with the additional downforce that the spoiler provides.

no, I didn't hit any bumps or potholes. Does anyone know if the Feels rear spoiler adds downforce?

Try not to turn too sharply, it will slow the front of the car but not the rear. Enter the corner at a speed where you can use the accelerator to plant the rear. Make sure the rear tires are not cold and have enough pressure in them. Take a driving school. Get a stiffer front sway bar.
