Default Rear Brake Rotor

Just took the car out at lunchtime after sitting all morning
the car wasn't completely warmed up and i backed out and
drove maybe 20 ft and stopped at a stop sign and heard a
loud squeek coming from my brakes then i pulled
into a gas station and saw a nice line going all around my
left rear rotor (only that one) i'll take pics of it later

brakes were just checked last week and according to honda
they were fine...

im a complete noob when it comes to this stuff
is there a way to "warm up" the brakes so that doesn't
happen? im just not sure.....any ideas?

thanks...

It was probably a rock.

'line' as in a gouge? I'd say most likely a rock also. Nothing you can do about that. To prevent further damage though, take out the rotor and get it turned, and remove the rock from the pad, if its still there.

Well, certainly remove the rock if it's still there. I don't think there's a need to get the rotor turned though.

nah i dont think it was the dealer because i drove it over 200 miles since i took it there and the brakes worked just fine it was just that one time after sitting all morning...

i don't think its a gouge...but its a VERY noticible line going around my rotor
and its only the left rear
so i believe it was most likely a rock like you guys said

thanks..
