Is it really hard to take care Red leather seat?
I'm very interested in getting a silver exterior with red leather seat, s2000. I heard that red leather fade easily and hard to take care. If it is, then how to take care? I want to hear your opinion. Thank you for your opinion.

I've had no problem with the red leather in my 2000 model, although I really don't leave it out in the sun topless without my butt protecting it. She is garaged otherwise. I do think the cheap red OEM carpet may be the first thing to fade in the Florida sun. Too bad Honda didn't spend the extra $50 of cost to put in the carpet this baby deserves. We won't get that started again.
You are on the right track, Silver/Red rocks!!! Of course I am extremely biased.

A search through some of the posts to wash & wax should help you out. I personally use Zymol Treat leather conditioner that brings up the leather better than new, leaving it a superb shade of deep red and very supple.

Today is my S2000's 2nd birthday. No kidding. I picked it up exactly two years ago and the red leather still looks great. There has been no fading and there is only the very smallest amount of creasing, which is something that happens to all leather. I've put over 22,000 joy-filled miles on my Silver/Red and the top is down probably at least 75% of the time. I live in Arizona where it is very hot and very dry: a brutal test of interior materials. The car looks absolutely great. Everybody still thinks it's brand new. Don't worry about buying a red interior. Just clean and treat the leather every few months with appropriate products, and enjoy the heck out of your great car.

My stook is 1 1/2 + years old and the red still looks brand new. I've used 303 Aerospace Protectant from day one on the seats. I give this product credit for keeping the seats from fading. It is an UV Protectant.

( But then again, this may have already been covered in Wash and Wax )

I've had my car since March of this year. Nearly 7K miles on it. The top is never up on the car (except to wash it) but it is garage parked at work and home.
I don't have any problems at all with the red leather. A little Lexol cleaner and conditioner once a quarter and it is as vibrant and supple as day one. I personally really, really like the red ineterior on the car. My only complaint is the carpet. It's clearly one of the areas that Honda saved some $.

I too have had no trouble with the seats, but I have noticed a wrinkling in isolated areas of the doors. Almost as though it got wet and stretched, then won't lay back down. Anybody else having this problem?

I've had my 2000 S2000 about a year and a half. I have Red Leather and it looks like brand new, and I've done nothing to it as of yet. Red definitely has a more expensive and elegant look to it than the basic black.....personal opinion of course. 2rich4you
