Real Men Drive Miatas and The S2K IS Cute, But Not As Cute As The Miata
#52
The worst thing anyone has ever said to me about my Stook is that it looks like a Z3.....I much rather someone say it looks like a Miata than an ugly, squatty ass BMW.....you must remember to show respect to the Miata, for it resurrected the modern day roadster.

The miata is proof that you don't need high horsepower to have fun -- just RWD, a top that drops, light weight and the best transmission on the market.
I guess the stook does have more power, but one could argue that the Miata is a 'truer' sports-car.
Personally I like the looks of the eunos -- about the same as the s2000, if only it had HID's like the s2000.
The author of that gem needs to be smacked around a bit with a large trout.

2) a car developed with Formula 1 technology?

Real TALL men should not drive Miatas. There was nothing cute about the backache I got from avoiding contact with the top when it was up. The cowl shake wasn't cute either.
As for "cuteness" the Miata still wins hands down. The S2000 is more powerful, comfortable, and aggressively styled and as a direct result it hasn't proven to have the same "girl magnet" appeal as my previous Miatas possesed. I've never heard my car described as cute, sexy yes.
The Miatas I owned were nice ragtops but they never satisfied the loss of my modded RX-7. The S2000 takes care of my car desires these days. I don't miss either Miata. They had a lightweight "flingable" quality by design that was fun for a while but certainly no "Zoom-Zoom".

Ok, this is stupid, you can't compare the two cars... There is no comparison, they are in two seperate leagues... the miata is a nice car, I even thought about buying one, but I bought a car that was very much comprable, and I think was a wiser investment. I bought a del sol, it's in the same league, and although it might not be as round as the miata, it has everything the miata lacks and then some. stock vs stock a del sol takes the cake. the miata has only one thing over the del sol, RWD. but the sol makes up for that in so many more ways that its not even mildly important
