Real J's Racing CF hood comparison with J's "style" CF hood..

Well I received my J's Racing hood yesterday and I must say the quality is very nice. The CF weave is somewhat smaller than the Js style hood. Weight is about the same for both hoods. The quality of the underside is a little bit nicer than the Js style hood. Vent is already painted black on the real Js hood vs. silver for the Js style hood. As far as overall quality of the hood itself and hardware would of course goto the real Js hood. The only negative thing I saw about the real Js hood is that when the holes were drilled for the latches one of the holes was off by about 1/4 inch which led to a difficult time in lining it up straight last night. The Js style hood was a simple bolt on in 3 minutes while the real Js hood took us 2 hours to get it right. Kinda a pain in the butt but no big deal. I was kinda upset at the time but I easily fixed the problem. I did forget to mention that the J's style hood is one of the best style hoods I have seen. Thumbs up to 4IGS2000. I would recommend him anytime.
In the end I saw both hoods like this on a 1-10 scale.
Real J's Racing CF hood 7 out of 10
J's Style CF hood 6 out of 10

Chris - what about the latch? I noticed that on a lot of the imitation hoods the latch is not reinforced with metal under the fiberglass frame. While the real J's has this feature.

True. The cutting on the underside of the real Js hood was very precise. They did pay attention to detail on the hood. But so did 4IGS2000.
The other thing I forgot to mention was the Js style hood was easier to twist and turn VS the real Js hood. Overall both hoods are great.

nice to hear a good remark for the 4IGS2000 J's style carbon fiber hood. pretty soon i am going to try and sell my hood and buy one from him if they are still available. got to get some more air flow for when that charger goes on
