Rattle in dash....
My 2002 GP white with 2000 miles has a rattle in the dash. It is slightly left of center and only sounds off on rough roads. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I feel like the dealer would be more than willing to attempt a repair but I am not sure I want anyone pulling the dash out of my new S2K.

I used to think my dad's car had a rattle in the dash until I read a thread here saying that sometimes the sun visors rattle agaisnt the plastic. It can sound like the rattling is coming from the dash though it's not... try driving over bumby roads with the visors down and see if it goes away.

I too hear a rattle coming from the Dash area. I installed my own stereo and thought that it might be a loose connection. I'm going to check tht visor theory, although I'm skeptical. Please post if you solve the problem

If the rattle is in the dash towards the A pillar driver's side at the front then it is most likely a plastic harness that is rattling. I had this problem. If you crawl underneath the dash and use a flashlight you will see a white plastic harness. If you hit the dash with your fist and hold the harness it should go away. I just used a piece of rubber to stablize it.

i hear a rattle in the middle of the dash also. i also have a 2002 s2000. it doesn't happen all the time though. it even happens on smooth roads. i don't want the dealer to take apart of my dash so i am leaving it alone for now

also try checking your rearview mirror....what I thought was a dash rattle turned out to be the mirror
rattles are the most annoying things to get out....a lot of times they're not coming from where you think
good luck
