Default Radio Face

Just wondering how many of yall rest your knee/leg on the radio faceplate while it's down and if it has broken or bent or something? I rest my knee on it all the time while driving, seems pretty sturdy to me. I have a MY04.

what the hell are you doing to your car to get your knee up there ? you certainly arn't driving it if your knee is up on the radio faceplate, not even sure my wife's knees were near the faceplate when.......

yeah my knee sometimes touches it, when im cruising on the highway, and not needing to switch gears, ive left it on there for quite a bit and it has not bent or broken so im sure its sturdy, but I wouldn't do it all the time

It hits my knee too cause I used to bring up my knee in my old car a lot so I end up doing here to like when I'm cruising on the highway or at a stop light. whenever I catch myself doing it, I pull up the radio door and use the side controls to control my music.

You must be short - taller drivers typically have their knees rest or rub against the open radio door when driving as it pokes out over the center console.

To the OP, it may seem sturdy, but its still plastic and weighs a lot less than your leg - I'd close the door if I were you.

I should of put in more details. I only rest when i'm cruising down the highway, i bring my right leg up so my knee rests on the radio faceplate, i have an aftermarket radio so my side controls don't work, hence why i leave it down. I am 5'10, 155lbs.

Modifry DCI FTW, I used to have to do that as well. Now that I have the DCI, controlling volume/tracks is soo much easier and you get to keep the door closed on long journeys.
