Default Radio control/start switch removal?

I am trying to take out the radio controls to put in my boost guage, I just read through the damn manual and the closest I came was dash removal, i just need that piece out that holds all those controls...

You have to drop the steering column and remove the instrument panel surround, which holds the radio and temperature control pods.

After the panel is off the dash, you can remove the control pod. Cover everything with tape for removal and installation, or you will cause scratches.
