Default Radio Antenna Stolen

Had my radio antenna stolen last night

Any place other than Honda to go and get a new one?

I have an 04, is it the same antenna as previous models?

Anyone else have this problem with disappearing radio antennas?

Thanks

I think folks put them on other cars. I bought an s2000 antenna to replace the ugly "buggy-whip" OEM antenna on my MR2. The "stubby" S2000 antenna fits the whole "stubby" look of an MR2 much better than the bare wire OEM one.

they arent expensive... even at the dealer.
get a couple so you have one for the next time!
and dont glue it on, or you are asking to have much more damage... a car cover is your best protection

Mine was stolen at the Palmdale Mall in CA. It was about $20 for a new one. Now when I go there I unscrew it and throw it in the trunk.

If you are looking for a cheap replacement, just go to an s2000 meet... There are usually a few just sitting out in the open

This is a common complaint. Not much you can do. Someone wrote about using locktite on the antenna which is good to keep the undetermined from making off with it but the determined end up trying to use pliers and end up tearing the crap out of the antenna and maybe the car. You can pick up a replacement cheap enough.

I seen on one of the volkswageen Beetle web sites that it does a better job of reception than the factory antena;so maybe check the people around you who have new beetles and see if they took it
