In my stook last night and I came upon a black SI at a light. Light turns green and he waits for me to get a little closer and we are off. Rolling start-he had a few mods like headers and intake i think, but i smoked him and pulled away until about 70 where i let off. I know the Civic SI is slower, but it was a fun race.

ludeman,

Good job...those SI's will race anyone, and they drive it like it's a 911 turbo...I guess it's Honda pride because I share the same mentality.

I think the Si guys believe their cars are faster than they really are, I get revved on by them the most. Just kinda ignore em really most of the time unless their real punks about... then I smoke em' in first gear and let off, still going the speed limit (for all thise opposed to street racing) hahhahha

Good kill, he asked for it.

Interesting, I see Si's all over the place, but only one has ever tried to run me. Of course, I was only too happy to oblige. Cool guys...they were so excited to see an S2000 open it up. They were all grins and thumbs up...(when they finally caught up to us)

Nice kill...

Nice Kill. How many cars were you able to pull on him?

Utah S2K: Yeah I'm kinda with you on this one...

Nothing for nothing guys but beating a car with almost half your horsepower isn't exactly a fair "kill". Unless we're talking the B16b Si (SiR in Canada), at least then it's not quite so bad. Although I think the 160HP Si's are noticably slower in a straight line than the delSol VTEC the engine came from. (of which I've owned 2). Still I love it when Civics are zig zag'ing thru traffic to try to catch up to the S. And the one time someone in a VR6 wanted to race me. (I was parked in a parking lot) To which I smiled and said something like "no thanks". So he replied... "Are you afraid of loosing?". So I told him he had better have something special under the hood if he thinks he's can beat me. He said "hey there's a first time for everything". Gave some kudos on the car and rolled off.. then heading home I turn into my street and there's the guy parked out front of (presumably) his friends place, big $#!teating grins on their face as we roll by. Quite funny.

A real kill is the Grand National I beat by .02 or something seconds at Cayuga (drag strip) last year. He should have smoked me, but he didn't. Now the C5...smoked my ASS, almost by 3 full seconds in the 1/4mile. I know the S isn't a drag car, but it was fun, and it's not like the 'lude isn't any more up to the task.

That reminds me I actually have video of it that whole night and I should break up the races into MPGs... though it's not great footage, but footage none the less.

Woah.. that message got longer than I wanted it to...

Hmmm... I'm going to have to Turbo my GS-R and teach you S2K guys a lesson! Hehehehe.. just playin'. I know I can make my GS-R fast with forced induction, but the fact remains that it'll still be a GS-R. Too bad I don't think I can afford an S2K.... Maybe I can get a used M3?

Hey Jeff... if you're reading this... I'm going to go to the dark side to spank you! Hahaha.

Civic Si hmmmm, only really moded one can get the S2K with the right driver. Like Steven Papadakis maybe? But other than that nice kill, there will always be people wanting to try a S2000 (only to see it wide open).
