R.I.P. S2000

Arguing in this thread doesn't seem appropriate for me as his intention was just to let us be careful. Well I'm very sorry for what happened really, and this unfortunate incident renewed my awareness of being extremely careful when driving in a bad weather. Glad you survived (the tree part was scary). Hope your healing and your new purchase go smooth .

Dooohhhh =( Another S2000 down, due to bad tires, I'm sure
Tires are really the only excuse - I drive mine in heavy rain all the time (I live in Vancouver, it rains half of the year).. if you replace them well before they're worn out, and buy ones that are decently suited to the rain, you should never run into problems like this.
Sad to see

damn! happy to see you lived, that is a gnarly crash
Even though I only live in San Diego, where we (notoriously) only get a few inches of rain here and there, I don't drive my S on such days. I have my 95 Camry beater for those days, as well as other uses (when prem gas is $3.60)
When I first got the S, I had a few wheel spins, and that was enough for me to say no more driving it on really wet days.
Hope you recover 100% bro
