I'm glad your in one piece with a few broken bones. The S can always be replaced as everyone has said. Its good to let everyone know even experienced drivers have trouble with the car and should definitely be not overlooked by the noobies here including myself somewhat. Hurry up and heal up so you can get back in another.

OH YEA! Dibs on the amuse lip if it's still good

You won't spin 90 degrees if all wheels are spinning freely.
If your car is not in a straight line, it doesn't matter if you car is in gear, or neutral, you will rotate. I used to rotate a Del Sol (on a closed course). On that car, the rears are free whether in gear or not. When you break traction, and you are NOT in a straight line, you rotate.

What I'm saying is, breaking traction isn't the only ingredient for rotating a car. If your in a straight line, theoretically, the car will remain straight.

Touching the throttle in any way shape or form, including HOLDING your foot steady... which actually turns into acceleration
if the rears slip.
Uhhh, it won't accelerate if the drive wheels are spinning.

This can lead to spin out in RWD vehicles.
I don't think you fully read, or understood my post. Wheel spin causes a loss of adhesion, (and vise versa) and in standing water, cause's the tires to actually leave the road surface, but the car not being in a straight line ultimately causes it to rotate.

[QUOTE=CKit,Nov 25 2007, 09:55 PM]I don't agree that it would happen very easily at all if you were in neutral.

Hahaha, that's cool. Still haven't healed from the wreck, but can't want to get out and start shopping for another AP1.
(I'd probably be the same way.)
Gotta get back on the horse!

Definitely a good time to step up to glass rear window. There could be some pluses to this whole thing, you're forced into picking up a new toy There's a bright side!

Sucks about the car man - glad to hear your alive and plan on getting in another S soon!

As far as the traction control, I'm begining to think some S2ki members own stock in Racelogic.

That's why I posted an AEM EMS Traction Control thread as well.

I don't have anything to do with the company and wanted to stay that way, but I've been getting PMs about "where to buy" the system so trying to arrange a better price for s2ki.com members through the US distributor....

PM if interested.
