Here's a posting of his in the Vintage Forum from 3/21/09:

"Would an ECG that scares your doctors, combined with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, be considered a close call? I guess if I manage to survive, I'll have a decent story for this thread.

Over the years I have been involved in two automobile accidents, and looking at the cars afterwards it was hard to imagine how anyone survived. I've had other close calls too, but at this point I think the combination of heart problems and cancer have to top the list."

I'm sad that he didn't manage to pull through - he beat the odds before. I'm sure he would have had a decent story to tell. My sincere condolences to his family.

Wow, ironically enough I was just thinking about him last night. I remember his posts were ALWAYS informative. I was just thinking about one of his posts on driving technique last night and I thought about PM'ing him this weekend. I had no idea he was sick as I really never had the pleasure of getting to know him, just of reading all his posts.

He was ALWAYS a nice guy and willing to help even via Private Message or E-mail even if he didn't know you. I will keep him and his wife in my prayers, and I wish them the very best.

I'm a little stunned...I saw the title and yelled "NO!"

Tragic news...I consider him a friend on this forum. I'm sure I'm one of the many that nominated him and encouraged him to be a Moderator.

I will really miss him here.

CKit...I'd like to send something to the service...can you announce the arrangements when you know them?
