Default quiet exhaust

are there any 70mm catbacks out there that have the same noise level of the comptech?
almost all thread out there talk about weight, TI, dronning, max HP, looks, price etc... but i dont see any that has shown me how noisy they are. i have heard the comptech, tenabe, invidea and HKS. i like the noise level of the comptech.

Post in the UMW forum and ask if anyone has a 70mm (J's or T1R). Meet up and take a ride to see how loud it is.

As a general rule, most singles are louder than a dual...one notable exception is the Invidia.

General rule, 70mm are loud unless you rig something up with 2 resonators that someone mentioned in a previous post. Or 70mm + turbo to quiet it down a bit.

i have the 70mm t1r on my car, i was shocked how quiet it is copmared to my old cat back, the old one was the old j`s 63mm stainless steel. the j`s was very light compared to the 70mm t1r (which is also the stainless steel version) but has thicker piping and more sound insulating resonator and muffler. so its compromise of weight for sound. but its still shocking that its less loud than a 63mm exhaust while its 70mm.

in general iv heard many single exhausts, the most quiet 70mm exhaust was the t1r, there is nearly no drone, and at full throttle it sounds great, also noticable power gain.

and the most quiet 63mm is the new ti j`s 63

my t1r comes with its test pipe and paired with the j`s headers in my car, i dont know how would it sound without the headers.

in the old exhaust, it was louder with the stock headers!!

The only 70 mm single exhaust I know that is relatively quiet is the one made by ASM.

if you are looking for quiet single. go with j's 60rs.

i had t1r 70mm and it was way too loud, so i swithed to 60rs.

j's 60rs is very quiet even with the test pipe.
