Quick Jack 5000lb Lift $1000 Costco
#13
Do any of you have wheels on them to make them more maneuverablewhile positioning the jack underneath the car? I have the 7000 and they are heavy and I am scared that I will scratch my floor that iis painted.

Just the non-caster wheels that came on the 5000. I view my garage floor surface as a consumable or I'd get mad all the time, since I work on a Jeep and a 1948 tractor (which marks its territory allwhere).

I wished i was less concern with it but that's one of the reason why I haven't really used it. I have seen other posters in Corvette forums make some brackets to put some caster wheels on them to make them easily maneuverable when placing them under the car. I wonder if the 5000 is easier to move around for placement underneath the vehicle.

A little different, but I've been looking at MaxJax.
A two post lift for low ceiling garages. Also portable.

The problem I had when I looked at two post lifts was that most wanted a rebar reinforced floor. There are solutions if you don't have one but they involved cutting into the floor and making one.
All that said... I still hope to set up a two post some day, but I think it'll be tied to a renovation of my outbuilding.

Yeah that 2 post costs twice as much and doesn't really seem all that portable. I want a 4 post for additional storage eventually but the quick jack is perfect for actually working on the car and then moving out of the way.
