Default Quick detach seats (stock) and a good sport seat?

I just auto X'd my S for the first time today, and i'm hooked. First mod i'm doing after this is i'm parting out my Xbox and lcd screens! Second is my seats. Is there anyway to make the driver and passenger seats quick detach? This way i can pull them out and put them in quickly at events. Also, what is a good aftermarket seat to use as a drivers seat when racing? Tks.

I've never heard of a "quick release" seat. You probably wouldn't want one either. Unless someone made the quick release mechanism at least as strong as the bolt attachments, you'd be at risk in the case of an accident.

That being said, the stock seats simply bolt in at each corner. It wouldn't be that difficult to switch them out once a month (or however often you plan to autoX).

Their only four bolts to the seats just get the small seats because it tends to rubs if you get the larger seats. Me going to change mine all but I have to admit it let you feel more one with the car.

It takes less then 2 min to pull each seat. 4 bolts and they are out. That is about as quick as they need to be don't you think?

I totally agree. I asked this question mainly out of curiosity. One last question then, what is a good aftermarket seat that you guys like. I'm thinking a sparco torino... Also, does anyone know the weight of the stock seats?

It really depends on what you want, reclineable ones?? (Bride Ergo 1 and 2, Sparco Torino's, Recaro's) or full buckets (Bride Zeta 3, Mugen, Spoon, Recaro SPG's I think).
The full buckets are A LOT lighter than the reclineable ones guaranteed on which ever brand you buy.
Spoon or the Bride CF ones are probably one of the lightest ones you can find.
