Funny, when I was putting up a reply to the S2k legacy thread, it hadn't occured to me, unlike now, that perhaps the true legacy of the S2k is that it not only comes in as optimal performance system, but it requires optimal driving to obtain the best results. The legacy is - the S2k is a true drivers car that will either teach you amazing things, or break you as a driver.
This!

thanks for the people who at least were trying to answer my question.

I've noticed that there are a lot of people with questions on here, but a lot of people think those questions are stupid so they make fun of it. I don't personally think there's a stupid question. Some people don't have time to be online all day and night to look for answers so they often post a quick question, hoping that somebody would be nice enough to answer them. But for those who say "delete this post" or whatever. Seriously?

This is no f&f or car wars, my buddy and I were just talking at work, and I told him I want to buy an ap2 but he says why spend more money on that, why not buy an ap1 and use the extra money to upgrade that to be even faster than ap2. Both he and I argued so to be fair, ask you experts. But some of you don't understand the situation and bash on others say it's a stupid question...

Now that you described your issue in detail, people will understand what you are talking about. Both the AP1 & AP2 are fast. The real question is whether you are fast. The point being it is not so much the car, but the driver.

You would not go wrong with either an AP1 or AP2. If you can find an AP1 with low miles, it will be cheaper as well. Dont waste too much money on mods. Rather spend that money going to track and AutoX. You will then know what mods to sink in to your car to make you go better & faster.

Good luck

I heard the easiest way to get horsepower is from stickers ; ) . seriously though it just comes down to the driver and even then it comes down to driver knowledge

Umm just out of curiosity, it seems like you joined the forum over 4 years ago.. And it says you own a Ap1.. So.. I don't quite understand..
But after your second post, I see what your friend was saying. Basically he was saying: "since AP1 and AP2 are very close in performance, why not buy an older, therefore cheaper AP1 and spend the extra money on upgrades so that you have a faster car with the same money?"
right? If that's the case, I don't think there's an easy way to make an S2k way faster than a stock..
Besides, there have been a few stupid statements introduced in this forum that made everyone well.. sad.. such as "Genesis 3.8 is wayyy faster than an automatic s2000"..
That's why people get upset whenever see a questions without details in the first hand..

Ironically, you've just pwned yourself. It's spelled "immediately".

This thread is kinda weak, though.

[QUOTE=JLUDE,May 12 2010, 12:34 PM] Ap1 and Ap2 are so close in straight line and on the track that it's all driver. It is easier for inexperienced drivers to handle an Ap2 on a track.

Get a 03 AP1. AP2s are for women and children.

Wow! Sorry to the OP for everyone's retarded comments. All they could see was the AP1 VS AP2 and everyone started shitting their pants. The fact is that your buddy is correct. If you can save 5-6k on purchasing an ap1(plus supporting mods) over an ap2 then you my friend, can now have a turbo AP1 for the price of a stock AP2. END OF STORY.
