Default Quick answer needed?

Hi i am buying my first s2000 tomorrow and i cant wait to pick it up. The only problem i have is when selecting revers gear do u have to lift or push the gear knob down to select it? The reason i ask is because the one im getting does not require u to do anything to put it in revers and it would be quite easy to put it in reverse by mistake. Thanks in advance

I'd say there is something wrong if you don't have to push down. Maybe i'm wrong though

Sounds like there's something wrong with the tranny. You definitely have to push down and to the right for reverse. Either make sure it gets fixed or steer clear!

Exactly where 6th gear is??!! No, that's where the 6th gear is! But it is on that side. Go all the way to the right, push down, go further right, then down. That's reverse. Read map on shift knob.

Did you verify this during a test drive? If you rowed the gears with the car off, you may have selected 6th thinking you reached reverse.

Definately have to push down on the knob and move right and down to get into reverse. It's significantly lower and to the right than 6th.
