Questions RE: Mingster's Dead Pedal

Richard,
You aren't implying anything?
1) if it's not the thickness of the stock plastic part, it is no better than aluminum foil?
2) yours is easy to polish and clean, but your competition's version is not? (I found this one pretty funny, do you remember why?)
I would like to ask you to remove my only source of irritation at S2000 Online and reiterate what Cthree posted: please compete based on service, price and quality alone, without attacks on Giampero, McCune, carparts.com, etc.
Thanks!

Okay here goes....I got Mingster's pedal the other day. Mingster did a great job on this as it is a nice Aluminum pedal that fits perfectly in place. However, as many of you, I like the look of the rubber inserts in the pedal. Not only is this the design of the rest of our pedals, give you traction but also looks a lot better. With the black interior you don't notice much of a difference but try installing this in red interior and it looks terrible. Okay, so I went to the hardware store bought the sandpaper and scotchbrite and cleaned (polished) the pedal. I then went to Ace hardware after not finding the inserts at Radio Shack and bought the needed pieces that should look real nice once inserted, cut and so forth. Now that Honda Accessories has lowered their price for their pedal to just $2 more than Mingsters it's hard to make an argument to buy his. Here's how I see the break down.
Ming
$43 pedal
$2.50 for polishing supplies
$8.00 for inserts
$35 for labor and drive time
Honda Access
$44.95 pedal
$3.71 CA Tax
Totals $88.50 Mings H.A.$48.66
So you now see the cost of Ming's pedal is a WHOPPING $40 more! Richard, I know has some fantastic products and obviously makes quality items. This comparo is for people that have not yet purchased this pedal yet and would like to. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here I just do not want someone else to go through what I did. Again, in no way shape or form is this an attack on Mingster. I think that it's sometimes hard though for smaller shops (as good as they may be) to compete with bigger ones when it comes to price. Just my experience and a little bit of opinions.
