Default Questions about driving a S2000

Hi!

It's been close to 3 weeks since i first drove off the lot in my S2K and I am officially done with the "break in period".
It's my first car with manual transmision and i'm still in the process of learning how to shift rather than drive the car.
I really want to unleash the car but somewhat intimidated in doing so.

Any recomendations as into how i should drive the car taking it to it's first Vtec flight???

Avoid vtec'ing in 1st, cos the clutch doesnt like it too much when shifted into 2 from 9000 rpm

otherwise you noticed probably the clutch pedal has a lot of travel and bite point is quite high. With a bit of practice, you won't have to floor the clutch pedal all the way to shift, so you'll be faster....maybe some long-term wear on clutch though.

you got yours the 16th october? that's the day i got mine

As long as you don't do a clutch drop crazy launch in first gear, there's little to worry about. When your upshifting the car has a rev limiter, so you can't over rev the engine and hurt it. But, no need to test it - just shift before 9000 rpms, going up the gears. Enjoy the Formula One scream of the engine and the thrill of the ride. Oh, ya, keep an eye open for the police as well.

Took off quickly tonight and in 1st and 2nd the RPM's just closed down. After the car warmed up a bit, I didn't sense this feeling again. What's up?
