Default Question for those who drive their S in snowy AND hilly areas...

I am getting ready to buy a new car, and so far another S2k is at the top of my list. However, it will be my only car and I was wondering how they do with snow tires. I have heard from a lot of people that they perform just fine, but most of those people live in rather flat areas. Cincinnati is a very hilly town. I live on a steep hill with a steep driveway and I will have to drive down a 2 mile hill every day to get to work. Anyone have any idea what I can expect from an S with some lm-22's?

I drove my S through the worst storms this winter had to offer and was absolutely fine, you will be amazed at how fast you can stop vs. an SUV in the snow with Blizzaks because the car is so light.

They even have decent dry weather traction for the cold weather...

With decent snow tyres like the blizzaks, the S2000 should be a fine winter car, hilly or not. The key is to watch out for the temperature, and switch over to your snows already when the ambient temperature drops below 50'F. Winter tyres are superior also in dry and cold conditions.

i just recently drove thru an area that snow dumped pretty quickly onto the road. be very careful with the rear drive of this car, it will spin out on you quickly. I shifted down a tad too far and the car "squatted" and began to spin out, lukily i regained control - would have been bad to crash my 1 week old '04!

from now on, i wont be driving it in the snow/bad rain.

I put Blizzaks on my 00 this year and it did great in the snow/ice. I have an 04 ordered and next year no blizzaks. I'm hoping to pick up a beater and make the 04 a winter garage queen.

I have blizzaks on my s and going up the hill in snow isn't easy but very doable. It's more on the way you drive then the car itself.
