With the gas prices hitting $4.00 a gallon and beyond, how much would you be willing to pay per gallon?

I think that if gas prices reach the prices in your example, the world will have bigger issues than fuel in your car. It would be hard to afford milk and bread if fuel prices reach $10 and $20 a gallon.

 

If fuel prices increase that much, so will everything else. What do you think the truck that delivers milk & bread to your local grocery store runs on?

 

Gas price in Sweden is about $8.35 / gallon

 

I certainly won't be driving the S2000 if gas goes above $5/gallon. My motorcycle gets 60 mpg.

Mike is right, food prices are going to be a bigger issue...it will force many restaurants out of business and people who don't know how to cook and stock pile food are going to be in a world of trouble. I for one will not be joining the mobs standing in long lines to buy 1 loaf of bread for $50.00
