I think painting the black bottom piece to match looks great.
For those of you that did it, did you just have the bottom painted, or did you have to repaint the whole bumper?
If it's as simple as just painting the bottom piece, then I might have it done.
Ideas?

I was doing business with a body shop for their Broadband needs and they gave me the idea to just repaint my front bumper (canyon run rock chips) and repaint the entire rear bumper (what the hell whim). I asked that they paint over the black rear valance to match the bumper. So they did. It completes that lower look on the car. I got the idea after tailing Aaron in his silver so many times.

If you find a good shop they should be able to match it without painting over your bumper. Just remove your tow hook caps and leave it for them to match your paint. Now I'm really thinking about painting mine yellow...decisions, decisions

I stopped by the body shop and total cost would be $270, with repainting the rear bumper. I don't want to paint over the Honda paint, and just wanted to paint the bottom portion. I will check around some more.
Any thoughts from people who didn't repaint the whole bumper? If I could get away with painting just the black piece I would be happy.

The black piece is even smaller than my chin spoiler which was $75 to paint. I think it should be in the ballpark of $150 for a quality paintjob. The bodyshop that painted my lip only asked for my paint code. Unfortunately, they weren't able to match it until the 3rd time when I left my tow hook caps with them after the 2nd time. But ey I don't mind having 3 coats of yellow paint, less noticeable rock chips for me. I think any quality shop should be able to match it perfectly if you leave them something to match the color.
