You will need the turn signal bulbs and sockets from the other car (00-03). Also since your car is 05 (04-07), the bulbs and ballasts are also differant.

That is your call I am afraid. Is this a straight swap or swap + cash (to you or to him)?

They would be plug and play if you swapped everything. but as it sits, you will lose 1yr of warranty (3yr/36K) on the headlights/bulbs and ballasts. They are all very costly.

Yeah I dont care about that, just want to make sure I wasnt losing a better light. If the lights break I dont care if I have to replace them.

I believe the HID dividing line (specific name i'm unsure off) will be reversed because in Japan they drive on the left side of the road. So your new lights will effectivly blind the people in the other lane in the US. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I did this conversion last fall, but my car is an '01. You'll also need JDM turn signal sockets and different turn signal bulbs. Everything else I was able to transfer straight from my OEM headlamps to the JDM headlamps - HID bulbs, parking light sockets and ballasts.

From what Stratocaster says above, the ballasts are different on the 04-07?

The HID line is reversed so the left side is higher than the right. I aimed my lights a little lower to try to keep from blinding oncoming traffic.

Good luck,
Dave

Yes, the AP1 HID ballast are larger and mount differantly than the AP2s. So to do it right, you swap them too. Also the bulbs are differant, compatable, but differant.

CarmenOhio, you remember the brick on the bottom, right. It has a square hole if the headlights that mated with the ballast. The AP2 have a smaller round hole in the lights and the ballast is also smaller. So the bolts pattern is smaller.

There is a thread for AP2 headlights conversion. They have to made a bracket to mount the AP1 ballasts to the AP2 lights.
