Actually, I have.... sometimes those stoplights aren't long enough! I pull the e-brake on 1 click while I'm rolling. I don't think it works if you're going faster than a few mph. Good luck, and don't try this at home.

ah why do you guys have to be assholes! i didn't mean i wanted to drive around at high speed putting my top up and down. what i meant was, it sucks when it suddenly starts raining and there is nowhere to pull over, and it sucks when the light turns green and the top isn't down yet. if you guys don't know how, then don't make fun of me for it. geez

I think you got your answer--the parking brake. There is a thread about disabling the micro-switch in the parking brake somewhere down the forum, but was not well thought of.
Think about it, though. It is a somewhat silly thought, you gotta take some heat. As "we" used to say in the fighter squadron--"Slack is a half pair of pants." You don't get no slack here, bud.
