I finally bought one yesterday!!!! I was originally planning on getting a CR, but after looking at everything with taxes/fees it was just going to be a bit over budget....

I ended up purchasing a 08 Honda S2000 Laguna Blue!!!!!!!

Any advice for break in?

How many miles before tracking?

Should I do the first oil change early? I know some recommend getting your first oil change after 1k or 2k miles because metal shavings and such may end up in oil pan after breaking in.

Congrats you have a wonderful car. If your breaking it in, i wouldn't redline it anytime soon, but check with the owners manual or some more senior members as far as protocol would go.

Post some pictures when you get a chance!

When I purchased my 06(new), changed the oil at 5k to regular dino oil(I used Castrol GTX). Then at 10k miles, switched to Mobil 1 full synthetic. As for breaking it in, just be gentle for a little bit.

Check the owner's manual for break-in advice.

i would consult the owners manual for break in period and the shift points. changing the oil is up to you. some wait till 1k, some wait till 3k, and some wait till the maintenance minder. i personally did mine at 1k. either way congrats on the purchase!
