Props to the s2000
A couple months ago I was at a split decision on buying a 2003 S2000 or a 2004 TSX. Since I was paying for the car my parents agreed to take care of my insurance for the remaining two years I have in college. So insurance wasn't a factor in my purchase. However I believed that no matter how much I wanted the s2000 as being a fun-to-drive 9000rpm redline sexy ass sports car, practically the TSX was better for me. I think the TSX is a wonderful car and props to the Honda/Acura family for their new 04 line. This car is sporty, has tight suspension, buttery smooth shifting, and a 200hp 4cyl. On top of that there's definitely more luxury in this car than an s2000, and that is something everyone older than me threw their two cents in about "if you buy a sports car now, you'll regret it and wish you got luxury before you're 23." Both cars are different classes though, so it's hard to compare.
The S2000 has been a car I've always wanted since I turned 16. It has all the features I'm sure all of your are fully aware about, or why else would you have purchased the car. Maybe someday when I get more money to spend on a second car, It'll be on an s2000. Until then I'm just giving the props that are due to the s2000 from my side. I know everyone over at the Acura Forums loves this car as do I.

I'm like you ... The first car I bought was the "sensible" purchase. Everyone said to go with 4 doors, to go with something with some luxury. I just bought before the TSX had come out, so I'm in an '03 TL-S.
Then I started getting the itch for something more fun ... So a few years later and now that my '03 TL-S is paid off.. I've got the S2000 ... For me, it was the convertible that got me. I love driving with the top down ... Wouldn't have it any other way!

My first car I bought on my own was a 98 prelude SH.
Second 00 S2000
Third 02 Civic Si
Fourth 04 TSX ( which was a lemon and returned)
Now 04 S2000.
Let me tell you. If you drove the S2000 and really like the feel of the car. You'll never want to drive anything else. TSX was nice, but it can not compare to the fun factor of an S2. Luxury is nice, but it gets boring.
Just my .02

TSX is better choice for 19yo going to Chambana. If you got a stook, your top would be slashed and nasty. Plus, it's flat down there and nowhere to go. When you graduate, get a job, and move to a city or someplace with twisties, then get the Honda as a second car.
Seriously, nice car in a college town has its drawbacks.
